"Horrible customer service"
The products are very good, but customer service is nonexistent. They sent me the wrong size item and I promptly returned the item for an exchange. After a week, I check in via email, and after another week of waiting they told me they were still waiting for my return. I sent them the confirmation from FedEx showing the date, time, and warehouse employee name that signed for it, but they did nothing. I sent more emails asking for them to either refund or send the item and no response.

All the items that I ordered were as represented on the company’s online store. They are all well made and made of top quality materials in the USA. The entire order arrived within 5 days.

"Shipping time not as stated on website"
I ordered a hoodie two weeks ago, expecting it to arrive within 5-7 business days as the site states (1 day for processing, and 4-6 for shipping). So far the order is still pending.
Edit: ended up canceling and getting a refund. Customer support for that was good.

"Disappointing Service—Edited"

Apparently, there was a computer glitch at the time of my order which affected several orders. Customer service was extremely efficient after discovering the issue. Very fast turnaround and delivery, excellent communication. I am relieved as I have enjoyed the products and service from American Giant for a few years. They are my go to for high quality clothing.


I have loved products bought in the past. They arrived in due time. But, I ordered again March 6, 2023. I have not received my order as of today. I have inquired twice with only receiving computer generated replies. Non-existent customer service. A disappointment in this once vital company, I will not like pants purchased elsewhere.

"Deeply disappointing fit"
The lightweight women's crewneck sweatshirt is well made and of very nice fabric- and its killing me that it is essentially cut like a bubble- huge in the middle and then cropped with an overly tight waist band for the size. It looks truly awful and is a waste of nice fabric, honestly. If I sit down, the back rides up and exposes my back.

"We placed on order on Nov 18, 2022"
We placed on order on Nov. 18th, 2022 and was told 2 weeks later that all of the items were backordered due to demand issues and that a full refund would be issued. This order was over $400 USD and as of 1/23/2023 we are still waiting for a refund. I even spoke with one of their retail stores that is attempting to help us. No response from their Facebook page (IM, etc) and zero response from continued emails to their customer service folks!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered 3 Henley shirts and it’s been over a week and none of my items have shipped so I emailed them and they replied that they canceled my order and said they were out of stock of the sage color. I only received a refund for that shirt and they didn’t refund me for the other 2 shirts I purchased!!! And my order has been canceled and unfulfilled. This is theft!! I’m going to escalate this situation to a lawyer/credit card company if this is not fixed asap. Absolutely ridiculous.

"American Giant does not provide Customer Service"
This company's Customer Service might as well not exist. There is no phone anywhere on their website (I do see that Trustpilot somehow acquired a number) and when you email to the customer-service@ address, you get a form response that they will get back to you in two business days. Maybe you get lucky and someone writes back saying they will be happy to help do what you want (in my case, return something for exchange). If you have any questions about the measurements or available colors, they advise you to call one of their retail stores, as "customer service" does not have that kind of information.
Over a two-week period, I ended up writing to them eight times and getting four messages back from them, never getting any useful from them (like an authorized return label), and after the last message from them saying they would back to me in two days, I got nothing further. It will be a cold day in Hell before I buy anything else from them.

"American Giant Order Still Not Filled After 49 Days"
I ordered a sweatshirt from American Giant on Nov. 22, and my credit card was immediately charged for the full-price purchase. I received a confirmation email and assurance that I would be updated when it shipped. It has now been seven weeks, and though they send email ads every day, there has been no notice of shipment or other sign of action, and there has been no other communication about the order. Attempts to call have been unfruitful. An email with an inquiry related to the purchase received no response. I have received no backorder notice, nor any other communication.

One basic, standard improvement for American Giant would be to wait to charge a credit card until the company shipped the product.

"Consistently crappy post sale experience"
I ordered a new jacket from AG 10 days ago and it has not left their warehouse, so I wanted to give some feedback. This is my 3rd jacket from this company over 2.5 years and I do really enjoy their products, but it seems like every order has had issues with shipping (long arrival times, nothing leaving their warehouse for weeks on end, no communication whatsoever.) What is funny is that I coincidentally I placed an order with huckberry the same day and I've had my items for 2 days now! American Giant has given ZERO updates, which is just so classic and shows the level of care they give versus their competitors. Really unfortunate and frustrating because like I said, I do like their products, but the post sale experience is consistently poor and has been for years, especially when compared with really any other online shopping experience. C'mon AG team, you need to level this up significantly. It leaves a very sour taste is peoples mouths for otherwise great products.

"Order of $250 in Christmas gifts placed…"
Order of $250 in Christmas gifts placed on 12/2 with 3 day shipping. It’s now 12/20 and still have not received items. Contacted American Giant “customer service” several times and just get an automated response saying the looking into it and need two days to respond… it’s been over a week. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONEXISTENT!!! Meanwhile they keep spamming me to order more of their products and “get it by Christmas”… what an effing joke. This company used to be decent. When a company literally has no number to call and speak to a real person about an issue, it’s probably best not to be a customer.

"Slow customer service response but they did make it right."
The reviews saying you get an order confirmation and nothing after are true. Maybe they are busy during the holidays but my order confirmation was received 5 days ago and still the order status just says order received and we will email you once shipped. No customer service number which is just weird. The only way to contact is via email which you never get a response to even though the auto reply says you will get a response within 2 business days. The website says orders take one business day to process. I have not had issues with AG in the past but something is up now. I doubt there's any way I will receive my order by Christmas now even though I ordered with plenty of time. Now I have no idea what to get my husband and no time left to get anything good. Crushed. If I don't get a response by tomorrow I'm going to try to cancel the order so let's see how that goes.
EDIT: They finally did respond via email and turns out they oversold the item I ordered which is why it hadn't shipped. They did make it right by expediting an alternate item for me which made it in time for Christmas. Changing my review.

"ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE will make me an ex-customer"
I placed an order (AG-US-201241180) on November 26 for more than $300. Today is December 12, and I have not received my merchandise or had an answer to the email I sent their service email address. This is lousy customer service, and I will be unlikely to order from them again, which is too bad, because I've liked their American made products in the past. Also, it's really just not on for any company not to have a customer-service number.

"I ordered a hoodie from them on 11-18, no contact, no hoodie!"
I ordered a hoodie from them on 11-18. Got a confirmation. Today is 11-28. No tracking info or hoodie. Tried multiple times to call different numbers assigned to them, and sent an email.

Zip!

Their response that they had gone through all emails without finding any from me is nonsense! I got a response today with every email I sent them, saying their server wasn’t able to keep up with the demand. For 10 days?!

Also, my order # was on every email!
